Ahmedabad: Ride-hailing company Uber has announced its first-ever Uber Railway Station Integration in partnership with Indian Railways.

The initiative begins at Ahmedabad Railway Station and Howrah Railway Station, marking a milestone in enhancing connected urban mobility for millions of passengers.

Uber Railway Station Integration Enhances Multimodal Mobility

This collaboration aims to simplify passenger movement at major transport hubs by combining Uber’s technology with railway infrastructure.

Ahmedabad Railway Station, the country’s seventh largest, currently serves 1.2 lakh daily passengers with capacity expected to rise to over 3 lakh by 2053.

Meanwhile, Howrah Railway Station, India’s busiest, accommodates over 10 lakh travellers daily, making the integration a major boost to connectivity.

Dedicated Pickups and Rider Support at Railway Stations

The Uber Railway Station Integration includes dedicated parking areas and rider support teams for seamless travel experiences.

In Ahmedabad, Uber has created a designated parking space linked directly to the station’s main foot-over bridge.

At Howrah, kiosks and on-ground teams have been deployed to manage high passenger volumes and ensure smooth ride bookings.
